Holly's Story: My Experience with MG Treatments

I watched a youtube video by Raremark Health titled Holly's Story: My Experience with MG Treatments. I chose this video because of the title and the interest to hear more about treatments and how the clients feel.We are currently learning about Myasthenia Gravis (MG), which is known to be a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disorder and this video drew my attention to get to know a bit more details about it. Knowing more about treatments for various disorders are very interesting to me because it's all a process and there's a lot of learning and experiences with them. In this video, Holly spoke about the symptoms she had, which was double vision ,her journey with MG from diagnoses through the whole journey and treatments that were approved. One thing i did to help further my understanding about MG was i read the lecture notes and watched this other video on youtube just to give more insight about the disorder itself.

I learned a lot from this video. One thing I learned was the disorder progresses quickly. For example from her video, there were many changes from time she was diagnosed till when she went back. Medication and rest helped to control it. Another thing that interested me was that these medications have side effects that affect clients mostly not in good ways so it takes many trials. An important advice she had was to always advocate and learn more about these types of disorders to be able to help people or yourself. I do recommend this resource for others as part of their learning process because Holly gave great insight about her journey with the disorder and it gave me great insight and knowledge about this disorder.
