Dad Living With Parkinson's

I watched a youtube video titled "Dad Living with Parkinson's".  This video is about a 48-year old man names Andy McDowell who is a marketing consultant, husband and a father of two young girls and lives with early onset Parkinson's. Andy has trouble with uncontrolled movement and lacks coordination. While driving, he complains about his hands shaking and trouble with his right leg. Andy is still able to work but he talks about being able to spend more time with his children since he was diagnosed. He hoped to qualify for Deep Brain Stimulation, which is a surgery to help improve his uncontrolled movements and lack of coordination. To learn more, I did some reading about the Deep Brain Stimulation and more information about people living with Parkinson's Disease. We also had lecture about Parkinson's Disease which really helped enhance my understanding.

I chose this resource because of the curiosity I had about the title and i got interested to see him with his family, especially the children. The support from his family is really special. One thing I learned in relation to the course content is that exercise is very important and helpful for Parkinson's Disease and sometimes medication helps. I recommend this for others as part of their learning process because it's gives a lot of information about Parkinson's Disease and the medication. It also talks about the Deep Pain Stimulation, which can be risky but can help people with living with the disease. This video gave clear information to help with anyone interested in learning more.
